If you’re one of my Google+ or Facebook friends, you know that I write a regular guest post for the SEMRush blog (the folks that brought you SEOQuake). And every two weeks, I’m looking for a great topic I can use to present news about SEO and how search is changing.About improper grammar

Unless you’re currently living under a rock, you know that search engines are putting well-written content first. The charge is being led by Google, and we all know the importance of the Big Dog in the room. We don’t want it to growl at us or take our food.

So, the smart ones of us are out there promoting our brand by adding killer content to the Web. But it’s not only well-written, it’s well-spelled, well-punctuated, and it makes a relevant point. No more generic articles that you spun from something that was already crummy to begin with.

Google is constantly maturing, and with the advent of Hummingbird, its shiny new primary algorithm, we need to concentrate more on providing value to the Web than anything else, be it on our site, in social networks, or on other websites. It’s important now to establish your authority in your niche.

OK, so that said, here’s my latest article on SEMRush, entitled “7 Content Marketing Mistakes to Avoid.”  I hope it will give you better insight into what Google and the other search engines are looking for. This isn’t the Wild West anymore, people! We’re moving toward a more civilized Web.

But here’s the thing: If you can’t write or don’t want to, hire someone to do that for you. It’s what we do here at MagnaSites. We provide quality content for our clients. After the writer does his or her thing, my team of editors go over the page to make sure it’s 100%. But… Since I’m a picky author-type (I’ve written and had 10 books published to date.), I go over them for one last scan to assure quality and proper execution.

You can reach us by phone (see our sidebar) or via the Contact Us form on the site. If we can help, we’re happy to do it.  But realize that nothing is free, and cheap content is generally stuff you wouldn’t want to post to your site.

We’re not cheap; we’re GOOD.

Hope to hear from you.
