It’s been a while since I had time to write my own blog posts. I know, I know. I should be doing it, but to be honest, I haven’t needed SEO traffic for business, hence, I haven’t spent much time at SEMRush of late. I’ve been putting my efforts to doing actual business.
But I found something really cool today, and I got so excited that I just had to share.
As you may or may not know, I used to write for SEMRush a few years ago. And man, let me tell you, I was really missing out. SEMRush has come up with an incredibly powerful set of tools for webmasters. If you have one little site, you’re good. You can use the tool for free. But if you’re running a big business with lots of sites and a lot of clout, this is one tool you should take a look at. It’s the first time I’ve been really excited about a tool in a long time. Not kidding.
So, I got an email from SEMRush telling me to check out their new Content Analyzer. Well… When I got there and set up my project, I found a WHOLE lot more power than just a content analyzer.
Here are things you can monitor at SEMRush — all in just ONE place (Yes, I know about Moz, of course, but I just like SEMRush better):
- Audit your website. Find problem pages/posts and see how to fix them.
- Position Tracking in both Google and Baidu
- On-page SEO Tracker
- Social Media Tracker
- Social Media Poster
- Brand Monitoring
- Backlink Audit
- Link Building
- PPC Keyword Tool
- Ad Builder
- Organic Traffic Insight
- Content Analyzer
And each of those has different specific sections you can check out, too. OK, so I’m a stats junkie. But for example, here are some things you can check on just in the website audit section: Issues (Errors, Warnings, & Notices), Crawled Pages, Statistics, Crawled Pages, Progress, and Googlebot Behavior.
It’s pretty amazing, especially for a free tool. I mean, you can pay for a Guru account, but at $99.95 for a Pro account, it’s reasonable for a very small business. Bigger businesses can upgrade to very powerful accounts.
I got so excited about this tool that I just had to share it. If you’re not on SEMRush, you should check them out. They know their stuff and their tools just may become the premiere tools in your toolbox.
If there’s a downside, you do have to give them access to Webmaster Tools and Analytics. Not such a big deal, right? You can handle it. Go! Now! Run!
